Calibre was shot in Scotland during Fall 2016 and is currently in post-production.

Father-to-be Vaughn and his lifelong friend, Marcus, head up to an isolated, struggling Scottish Highlands village for a weekend hunting trip. Their escapade descends into a never-ending nightmare as they attempt to cover up a horrific hunting accident.  The men wrestle with intense paranoia and escalating fear as their friendship disintegrates and the locals close in on the truth, turning the hunt into a desperate struggle for survival.

Isabelle Georgeaux partnered with Alastair Clark and Anna Griffin from Wellington Films for Calibre. The project has financing from Creative Scotland and Creative England. Writer and Director Matt Palmer will make his feature debut on the feature, having worked with Wellington Films before on two shorts, 2007’s Island, which was nominated for a Scottish BAFTA, and 2014’s The Gas Man. Beta Cinema is handling international sales.

Wellington Films produced BAFTA-nominated London to Brighton (Edinburgh International Film Festival 2006, Toronto International Film Festival 2006) which earned them the Best Achievement in Production award at the 2006 British Independent Film Awards and a nomination at the London Critics Circle Film Awards for British Film Producers of the Year. It was released to widespread critical acclaim by Vertigo Films and has since been named by TimeOut London as one of the top 100 British films of all time.
